Jiaoshan is located about 3 kilometers north of Shanhaiguan Town. With an elevation of 519 meters, it is the highest peak of the mountain barrier in the north of the town. Its peak is a flat item to seat hundreds of people. It has a boulder saga, which is named after a dragon wearing a horn. Its main attractions include the Jiaoshan Great Wall, Hanmen Pass and Qixian Temple.
Jiaoshan Great Wall includes the Daping Peak, the main peak of Jiaoshan Mountain. When you climb the Jiaoshan Great Wall, you can see the distant mountains from the sea. The great views inside and outside the Great Wall can be seen at a glance.
Hanmeng Pass is a gate in the south of Jiaoshan Mountain. It consists of a tower and a platform. Because its geographical location is very dangerous, it is one of the top ten customs in Shanhaiguan.
Qixian Temple is a brick-wood building on the inside of the Jiaoshan Great Wall. The temple has a wonderful scenery named the Temple Scenery while Raining or Sunning , which is unique to Jiaoshan in summer. When it is drizzling under the mountain, but the temple is clear and bright in sunney. Sometimes, there is heavy rain in the temple, but it is sunney under the mountain. The scenery of the two places is different, which is amazing.
Jiaoshan is the first mountain of the Great Wall of China to cross northward from the Old Dragon Head and cross the Shanhaiguan Pass. Therefore, it is also called the first mountain of Great Wall of China. With different beauty in different seasons, so it is a must-see tourist spot in Qinhuangdao.
