Yumuling Great Wall

Yumuling Great Wall is located about 50 km in the mountainous area of Qianxi County in the north of Tangshan City, Hebei Province. The towering Great Wall contrasts with the continuous mountains outlines the majestic scenery of the Yumuling Great Wall.

The terrain of the Yumuling is extremely dangerous. Since ancient times, it has been a battleground for soldiers. The Great Wall on both sides of the Yumuling Pass is covered with bricks and is well preserved. The mountain on the south side of the pass is steep and the north side is gentle.

There are four gates of the east, west, south, and north at the Yumuling Pass, but only the south gate and part of the wall are left. The south gate is arch-shaped, built with blue bricks, 1.3 meters wide, 1.4 meters deep, 2 meters high, and 1.2 meters. The doorway has an existing width of 1.89 meters, a height of 2.6 meters, a coupon of 1.6 meters, a depth of 2.6 meters, and bolts on both sides of the door. All the northern half collapsed.

There is a school military field and a general station in the south of the city. About 400 troops were guarded during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
