Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture Museum is a local comprehensive museum which was established in March 1990. In September 2018, the Chinese Museum Association decided to agree to the Bayingolin Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture Museum as a national secondary museum.
The exhibition is divided into four exhibition halls. The first exhibition hall is the Chabugou Mouth culture including the ancient tombs of Chabuhugou in Hejing County and the excavation of the ancient tombs of the Bunker tombs in Luntai County. The main exhibitions are painted pottery and bronzes; the second and third exhibition halls are pre-Qin In the Qing Dynasty, the collection of unearthed cultural relics related to local history in the order of the ages mainly consisted of stoneware, bronzes, ironware, pottery, gold and silverware, bone horns, jade, coins, engraved stone, instruments, loach, wool, The fourth exhibition hall is the exhibition of the ancient corpse of Zhahongluk in Qiemo County. It displays three ancient corpses for more than 3,000 years and the wool fabrics unearthed from the tombs. A total of more than 600 pieces of cultural relics were displayed, reflecting the living customs and production conditions of ancient ancestors living in the autonomous prefecture, especially the most local cultural characteristics of painted pottery and wool fabrics.Travel Tips
