Red Flag Canal Scenic Area, also Hongqi Canal,is located in Linzhou County of Anyang City, at the junction of three provinces of Shanxi, Henan and Henan. The Hongqi Canal was built in the 1960s by the people of Lin County under the extremely difficult conditions. It is a national key cultural relics protection unit, which is called "artificial Tianhe" by the world and is known as "the eighth wonder" in the world. The majestic Red Flag Canal, which is coiled on the cliffs of the Taihang Mountainside, is ingeniously combined with the natural scenery and historical sites of the “Great, Dangerous, Wonderful and Amazing”.
What to see?
The Hongqi Canal Scenic Area consists of three scenic spots: Fengshuiyuan Scenic Spot, Youth Cave and Luositan Pool. The three scenic spots have their own characteristics, the winds are different, the connotation is surplus, and the contrast is adult.
This is a garden-like scenic spot, and it is also the place where the main trunk of the Hongqi Canal is divided into three main canals. It is 18 kilometers away from the Lizhou city. It is located at the waist of Daluoling Range and Maoerling Range, which is located in the north of Linshan Mountain. It was originally called “Tomb Ridge Range” and was later renamed “Watershed Range”. The scenic spots here are arranged in an orderly manner, and the planning is strict, and the cypresses are surrounded by water. It’s really “beautiful with mountains and rivers”, which makes people feel “happy”.
Youth Cave Scenic Spot
It is 30 kilometers drive from the Fengshuiyuan Scenic Spot. Here, the high mountain road is dangerous. The red flag channel is hung on the cliff of the Taihang Mountain. It also allows you to appreciate the endless poetry of the “artificial Tianhe ( River in the sky)”. The main scene “Youth Cave” is cut by the broken wall and is pierced from the mountain. After that, it shows you a magnificent picture, which gathers the beauty of the Taihang, "majestic, dangerous, peculiar, beautiful". It is far-sighted, full of sight, and only amazed.
Luositan Scenic SpotLuositan Scenic Spot is located about 1 km west of the Youth Cave. It is a large breakwater pool and there is a canyon bridge connecting the two provinces of Henan and Hebei. There is the famous Little Three Gorges in the Zhanghe River. You can enjoy the scenery of the mountains and rivers by taking a boat tour. There is a mysterious "Shengui Cave" ( Tortoise Cave）, you can enjoy the legend of the tortoise to save the people in ancient tiims; and the truss bridge Where the monuments are famous.
