Fenglin Valley  or Fenglin Gorge lies to the north of Jiaozuo city, covering an area of 50 km2. It is divided into two parts: the Weiyuanhu (Weiyuan Lake) and the Jingyingxia (Jingying Gorge). This area is characterized by gorges and peak forest.

The Fenglin Gorge is dominated by the Emerald Lake, where the mountains and rivers blend together. It is praised as “a lake in the sky, thousands of scenes in it” and the “Yuntai Heaven Lake”. Within the territory of Ten-mile Lake is like a jade belt floating in the canyon, the islands of the lake area are dotted, the peaks of the lake are undulating, and the lake is sparkling.

Fenglin Gorge has unique natural scenery and rich cultural landscape. It is a mountain-type scenic spot with both north and south China's landscapes. The rivers and lakes in the scenic area are deep, the mountains and valleys are steep, the cliffs and caves are all over, and the peaks and rocks are standing. You cab first climb a very high mountain, overlooking the green canyons and the peaks on both sides of the mountain, then walk down the mountain for visiting by boat to enjoy the surrounding peaks and the rippling river. The natural landscape is amazing and spectacular!
