Qiandongnan Museum
Qindongnan Museum, located in kaili City, is one of the major attractions in Qiandongnan Prefecture of Guizhou Province, which architectural style of the museum is quite ethnic. The central tower is in the form of the Dong Drum Tower. The East and West Towers are in the form of Miao people's slings. The appearance of the southeast is the “hometown of nursery”.
What to see?
The entire museum consists of the “Southeastern Museum”. Theme pavilions such as "Minority Style Pavilion", "Minority Costume Hall", "Dragon Boat Pavilion" and "Modern Folk Art Museum". The third and fourth floors are the main open exhibition areas. Since the main population of southeastern Yunnan is the Miao and Dong nationalities, the most important museums are the Miao and Dong nationality exhibition halls in the “Famous Ethnic Minority Pavilion” and the “Minority Costume Pavilion”.
The two museums are based on maps, tables and objects. History, different branches, customs, etc. are classified into a variety of objects that reflect the daily or rare sights of the Miao and Sui ethnic groups. The culture, tradition and history of the Miao and Dong ethnic groups are well displayed. The treasure of the whole museum's town hall is displayed in the Miao exhibition hall, which displays a piece of Xiuhe's tin embroidery work. Using tin silk as raw material, it uses traditional embroidery to make a stunning seedling, showing life. The superb embroidery level of the Miao people in Jianhe area.
Another regular exhibition is to show the local characteristics of different cities and counties in southeastern Guizhou, but the exhibition is not as delicate and beautiful as the national pavilion. If you are accompanied by four or five people, there will be museum librarians who will lead you to the museum for free. After their explanation, you can get more clear information. Of course, after visiting the museum, the librarian will take you to the first floor.
