Site of Zunyi Conference
The Site of Zunyi Conference is located on Hongqi Road in the old section of Zunyi City,Guizhou Province. It is a two-storey wood and brick building of combined Chinese and Western architectural styles. In January 1935, the Red Army arrived in Zunyi on their historic Long March and held a conference of great significance there. Listed as a major cultural relic site under state protection, the building now houses the Zunyi Conference Memorial Museum. The slogans written at the time have been preserved.
Zunyi Conference
Zunyin Meeting refers to the meeting held on 15-17 Jan,1935 in Zunyi City of Guizhou Province independently to solve the problem of the Chinese revolution extremely important enlarged meeting at a time by the political bureau of the CPC central committee.
The meeting was held in Bai Huizhang's private meeting room on the second flooor.There is a clock and two closets on the east wall of the conference room.It is a row of glass windows on the west wall, and there is a long ochre square table in the middle of the room. A brazier is under the table which is surrounded by a ring of wooden cane chair.
This meeting exposed and criticized the central leaders mistaken in the military,and passed a resolution,cancelled Bo Gu and Li De's highest military command,Mao Zedonng was selcted as the politiburo standing committee to be one of the highest leaders of Chinese Communist Party and Chinese Red Army.
After the Zunyi Meeting, Mao Zedong led Chinese Red Army to win the Long March in October,1936 while the three major groups of the Chinese Red Army moved to Yan'an,north of Shaanxi Province.
