What to see?
Yanziyan National Forest Park , combined with the forest landscape, waterfall landscape and danxia, is a high-grade touring site. The southern section of the park area is the garden of cyathea spinulosa, which was the very popular woody tree ferns 200 million years ago in the Jurassic period.
Swallow Rock Waterfall
Swallow Rock Waterfall, or Yanziyan, hanging in the swallow rock cliff above the waterfall 87.3 meters high, the normal water width of 50 meters, the waterfall was a dovetail, narrow on the narrow, the narrowest about 1 meter, the widest about 10 meters.
Liantai Waterfall
Liantai Waterfall, or Lutos Waterfall, is 42m high and 14m wide. The shape of the waterfall is like a giant Buddha embracing a smaller one which holds a head profile and sits on the lotus platform. The water flows from the heads and shoulders of the two sitting Buddhas, like two jade curtains rushing to the green pool of the lotus platform, with water fog dense and cool breeze blowing gently. In sunny days, there are charming rainbows under the waterfall, one rainbow for each figure. It is said that those who encounter such view will be lucky, because it is the Light of Buddha with heavenly blessing.
Origin of Life
This landscape is composed of huge Danxia rocks of tens of meters high. It is like the private parts of a fairy maiden, thoroughly covered with mosses. Crystal water drops like jade and pearls trickling all the year round. It is the masterpiece of nature and the symbol of unceasingly multiplying life. Many tourists call it the “Origin of Life” and the “landscape of unrivalled beauty in China”.
There are double-headed Cyathea, Interfax Cyathea, dinosaur alsophila, and 9.2-meter princess Cyathea, which wonderful, graceful shape. You can see rivers, hills and danxia everywhere,natural landscape and rare plants in harmony, you can not enjoy easily in the meanwhile. Yanziyan 87.3m high, you can enjoy the longevity spring here.
