Anyi Ancient Village
Anyi Ancient Village is composed of three small ancient villages such as Luotian Village, Shuinan Village, and Jingtai Village. Standing one mile away each other, Anyi Ancient Villages is located at the foot of Xishan Meiling Hill in the western suburbs of Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province.
At the end of the Tang Dynasty, the Huang family moved here to avoid war. Since then, the villageshave continued the prosperity of the former merchants with over 1,300 years of history . There are more than 100 well-preserved ancient buildings which were built in the Ming and Qing dynasties , which includes ancient arches, ancient gates, ancient streets, ancient alleys, ancient wells, ancient ponds, and ancient trees.
Family Liu and Family Li have been lived in Jingtai Village with a history of 1,400 years. Here, many ancient built houses are well preserved today, such as the ancient village stone archway, the ancient stone trough, the ancient opera platform, the masonry gate, the forty-eight patio ancient house, etc.
Villagers in Shuinan Village are descendants of the Huang Family in Luotian Village.In 1369, Shuinan Village was built. The existing ancient house in Shuinan Village is large in scale.The ancient streets, stone roads, and ancient ruts are clearly to be seen. The complete underground drainage system of the whole village remains today.
At present, Anyi Ancient Village has been rated as "Jiangxi Historical and Cultural Village" and one of the "Top Ten Beautiful Villages in Jiangxi".
