Pingwu Baoen Temple


Pingwu Baoen Temple is located in Long'an Town, Pingwu County of Sichuan province. Founded in 1440 during the Ming Dynasty, the Baoen Temple covers an area 3,518 square meters. 

Once you arrive to the temple, the remarkably detailed structure will amaze you since it features several temple halls brimming with historical artwork. For example, you’ll see carvings of flying dragons on the walls along with an exhibit of Bodhisattvas, which are human-sized statues that are a main temple hall display. Be sure to find the statue of Guanyin and her 1000 hands. The temple’s construction occurred during the Ming Dynasty, and the entire structure is made of sandalwood.

Pingwu Baoen temple is a key attraction in Mianyang City.The structure’s raised carvings cover the temple walls and present diagram styled depictions of mythological gods and symbols. You may even notice unique figures such as the monkey god.
