Taking Huangshizhai  Cable Car  is one of the best ways to visit Huangshizhai Scenic Spot. Located in Zhangjaijie National Forest Park, the Huangshizhai rope-way was  built between Baishajing and Huangshizhai. It has a length of  996 meters and a height difference of 430 meters.


The Huangshizhai rope-way was put into operation in 1997. It is a reciprocating 50-person (2 groups of 3 17-seater) gondola-type cable-way, and is the first reciprocating rope-way in China. It can transport 948 people per hour at a speed of 9 meters per second. There are 6 cabins in total, and each cabin can accommodate 8 passengers.

It will take about 4 hours to walk up and down Huangshizhai if you don't take cable car. Taking the rope-way can save most of the time, and you can enjoy the scenery of thousands of strange peaks that you can't see on foot. Visitor can walk to the Laomowan Shuttle Bus Station to take the shuttle bus about 5 minutes to the lower station of the Huangshizhai Rope Way, and then go up to Huangshizhai Scenic Spot by cable car.
