Suoxi Lake
Suoxi Lake is beautiful lake surrounded by green trees and unique landmarks, which is nearby the East Gate of Wulingyuan Scenic Area, located in Suoxi Gully, Wulingyuan District of Zhangjiajie City.
Suoxi Lake was built originally as a water-power station in 1974.After Suoxiyu Natural Reserve Zone was founded in 1982, the Suoxi Lake has become a crystal lake for sight-seeing while you take shuttle bus to enter of go out of the Wulingyuan Scenic Area.
Suoxi Lake, a man-made lake, covering a total area 92 square km, collects water from the Goden Whip Stream, Tianzi Mountain, and Yuanjiajie Scenic Spot.
Entering or outing the Wulingyuan Scenic Area, you can see a crystal lake which is situated the Suoxi Valley. Surrounded by beautiful mountains, Suoxi Lake gives a breathtaking scenery.
