On November 26, 2024, Hunan Provincial Tour Guide Competition is opened in Chenzhou, with 69 outstanding tour guides from 14 cities and prefectures across the province competing in a spectacular event. Yan Changwen, a member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, attended and announced the opening, while Zhou Hailin, Deputy Mayor of Chenzhou Municipal People's Government, delivered a welcome speech.

 

 

The competition lasted for 3 days and introduced new rounds such as themed presentations, on-the-spot creation of tour commentaries, practical guiding and leading tours, and themed speeches, focusing on assessing the comprehensive abilities of the competitors in tour guiding. The event was centered around the theme "Splendid Hunan, Guiding with Passion," emphasizing the historical culture, revolutionary culture, and modern culture of the Three Xiang regions. The competition aimed to guide the community of tour guides in Hunan to pay attention to the soulful role of culture in tourism activities, continuously expanding the integration boundaries of culture + tourism, culture + technology, and other aspects, and comprehensively enhancing the quality of the tour guide team in Hunan.
