Good News! 1.8 million foreign tourists visited Zhangjiajie in 2024

Zhangjiajie inbound tourism is very popular in this year. By the end of December 31, 2024, Zhangjiajie has received over 1.8 million inbound tourists from 193 countries and regions around the world, which continue to lead other siimilar tourist cities of China, and drive a 9.5% and 10% increase in the city's tourist reception and total tourism revenue respectively.

In 2023, Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport (DYG) resumed direct flights to South Korea and Vietnam, and opened 14 international routes from countries such as Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, and Mongolia to Zhangjiajie in 2014. In addition, Zhangjiajie's direct high-speed railway to Hong Kong also opened in September of this year. These provide convenience for foreign tourists to travel in Zhangjiajie.

The unique landscape of Zhangjiajie on Earth is highly favored by tourists from various countries. And it has attracted visitors from all over the world. Especially, after Zhangjiajie International Travel Agencies Conference was held in june 2023, over 50 Russian travele agencies extensively promoted Zhangjiajie's unique natural scenery in Russia. Nowadays, Zhangjiajie has become a must-visit destination for Russian tourists visiting China. According to statistics, Zhangjiajie receive over 50000 Russian tourists in 2024, which make Russia become one of the top ten countries in Zhangjiajie incoming tourism.
